Caribbean Poker Rules and Tricks

Internet poker has become world famous recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many types on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the casino rather than each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier broadcasting "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers attain 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s initial card, you need to in turn make a call wager or accede. The call bet’s value is equal to your beginning bet, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes directly to the bank. After the wager is the conclusion. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a figure equal to the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays out chips equal to your ante and controlled odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
