Web Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen experienced a wonderful year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only gambler to make it to the final poker table in three of the tournaments. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he paid $400, 000 to play. You might remember one of the largest pots in high stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. He secured a big pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has earned many tv poker appearances and is considered to be one of the greatest enthusiasts anywhere in the world. While gambling on net poker, another side of Hansen has emerged. He frequently participates in the 200/400 NL max buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen more often than not buys in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very poorly. He sits there waiting for a good hand and then pushes all-in. I believe Hansen is a great poker player but certainly not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is penniless, he has little or no reason to sit at the table with the minimum buy-in.

Playing for the min takes most of the expertise out of deep stack poker. Hansen is presumed to be one of the greatest players in the world but he can’t buy in for the total amt.. I believe tv can alter our view of the real world every now and then. The greatest players anywhere in the world may be players you have never heard of before. Gus can be found betting on web poker on Full Tilt. He usually plays in high stakes Omaha and texas holdem. Gus has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his abilities in money rounds?
