Novice Strategy for Double-Hand Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the western in a wonderful game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the dealer, unlike most other poker games that players compete against other players. By playing against the dealer, beginner players do not have to fret about any other, more advanced people taking their cash.

An additional Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game pace, novices should be able to take their time and plan without needing to make hasty selections.

It’s also easier to enjoy for a long time with just a tiny amount of cash since, to lose, each of your hands must be under both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the croupier gets 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and a 2 card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
